Founding Engineer - Full STack (Hybrid in NYC)

FOUNDING ENGINEER

We love to build startups here at Shrunken Heads & you don’t get much “earlier stage” than a Founding Engineer! With $1M+ in pre-seed funding, you’ll join the earliest ranks of a small Healthtech startup based in NYC.

Looking for HIGH OWNERSHIP? As one of the earliest engineers on the team, you won’t be “along for the ride” - you’ll be “steering the ship!”

Here you’ll find chances to help define nearly every facet of the future, from architecture to product direction, and recruiting strategies to company culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) Degree in Computer Science field (or similar)

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering where you’ve designed, implemented, tested, and iterated on live web-based applications

• Proven skills defining & implementing scalable, well-tested, architecture

• Iterative thinker, capable of receiving feedback and making improvements based upon it

• Capable of understanding & empathizing with the “customer-journey” and end-user

• Heavily leveraging Typescript today, would prefer someone doing the same
